
Cricket fans are set for a thrilling mid-year showdown as the fixtures for the 2025 ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL) were officially released on Wednesday, confirming 11 blockbuster matchups from 10 to 18 July at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
This year’s tournament brings together a star-studded field of five franchise teams, including champions from top T20 leagues around the world. Headlining the lineup are:
Central Stags (New Zealand – Super Smash champions)
Dubai Capitals (UAE – ILT20 champions)
Guyana Amazon Warriors (West Indies – 2024 Caribbean Premier League finalists)
Hobart Hurricanes (Australia – Big Bash League champions)
Rangpur Riders (Bangladesh – defending GSL champions)
With elite teams converging in Guyana, the 2025 edition is shaping up to be a showcase of international T20 talent and fierce competition. The tournament offers a US$1 million prize pool, with all teams vying for the prestigious GSL title.
The action begins on Thursday, 10 July with a morning clash between the Central Stags and Dubai Capitals, followed by a primetime opening night fixture between hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors and defending champions Rangpur Riders.
The group stage will feature double-headers on several days, offering fans day-to-night cricket entertainment at one of the Caribbean’s most iconic venues. The top two teams at the end of the round-robin phase will advance to the grand final on Friday, 18 July at 7:00 PM.
