The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has appointed Roy Simpson as Acting General Secretary, effective immediately. Simpson, who has served the Federation with distinction since 2008, has played a pivotal role in numerous national team milestones in his capacity as the team’s general manager.
His achievements include serving as manager during the qualification of the Reggae Boyz to the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2011, runner-up finishes in the Concacaf Gold Cup in 2015 and 2017, and Caribbean Cup titles in 2010 and 2014.
As part of the organizational restructuring, Omar McFarlane, who currently serves as team ambassador for the Under-17 Reggae Boyz, will now assume the role of Acting General Manager.
President of the Jamaica Football Federation, Michael Ricketts, expressed confidence in Simpson's abilities to efficiently execute his duties.
"Mr. Simpson is an integral part of the Federation, and I am confident that he will bring stability and leadership during what promises to be a demanding summer and the remainder of 2025. Likewise, Omar is a dependable professional whose commitment will serve us well in this new role," Ricketts said.
The JFF looks forward to continued growth and success under this strengthened leadership team.
