A rematch of last year’s dramatic final will headline Group B of the 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup, as reigning champions Cavalier FC of Jamaica have been drawn alongside Cibao FC of the Dominican Republic, the team they defeated to lift their maiden regional title in 2024.

The draw, which sets the stage for the Caribbean’s premier club competition, promises fireworks from the opening whistle, particularly in Group B, where a budding rivalry between the Jamaican and Dominican giants will once again take centre stage.

Cavalier, who defied the odds to win it all last season with a youthful squad and high-tempo attacking football, will now face the challenge of defending their crown under the weight of expectations. Standing firmly in their way is a Cibao side that has been quietly retooling.

Joining the two powerhouses in Group B are Defence Force of Trinidad and Tobago, Juventus de Cayes from Haiti, and the CFU Club Shield Runner-up, who will be confirmed later this summer. It’s a stacked group where no result will come easy and where every point will carry weight in the sprint toward the semifinals.

Elsewhere, Jamaican football fans will also have a close eye on Mount Pleasant FA, who were drawn into Group A alongside Suriname’s SV Robinhood, Dominican Republic’s O&M FC, Trinidad and Tobago’s Central FC, and the CFU Club Shield champion.

Mount Pleasant will view this tournament as a golden opportunity to bounce back from their Jamaica Premier League. While Robinhood, the storied Surinamese club, bring pedigree, and Central FC boast experience in regional play, the group is wide open, particularly with the fifth spot yet to be filled.

The format remains unchanged from previous editions. Two groups of five clubs, with each team playing four group-stage matches (two home, two away). The top two teams from each group will move on to the Knockout Stage, culminating in a home-and-away final.

Importantly, three teams—the finalists and the third-place winner—will qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup, with the Caribbean Cup champion earning a bye into the Round of 16 of the region’s top club tournament.
