Left arm pacer Jediah Blades starred with a five-wicket haul to lead the West Indies Academy to a seven-wicket win over the Sri Lanka Emerging Players and a 2-1 50-Over Series victory at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua on Thursday.
Blades took 5-28 from eight overs as the hosts bowled out the Sri Lankans for 144 in 35.5 overs after they won the toss and chose to bat.
Sahan Kosala (40), captain Dhananjaya Lakshan (36) and Ravindu Fernando (28) were the only Sri Lankan batsmen to get to double-figures against some excellent West Indian bowling.
Leg spinner Zishan Motara also bowled beautifully for his 3-19 in 8.5 overs in support of Blades.
The Academy then needed only 24.1 overs to reach 147-3 and secure the comeback series victory after losing the first game.
Openers Ackeem Auguste and Jewel Andrew made 38 each off 52 and 24 balls, respectively, while Mavendra Dindyal finished 32* and Carlon Bowen-Tuckett 25*.
