Ishan Kishan struck a brilliant 94* as the Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated the Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 42 runs in TATA Indian Premier League action in Lucknow on Friday.
Kishan’s 48-ball knock that included seven fours and five sixes helped the Sunrisers post 231-6 from their 20 overs after being put in to bat by RCB captain Rajat Patidar.
Abishek Sharma and Aniket Verma provided good support with 34 off 17 balls and 26 off nine balls.
Romario Shepherd led the RCB bowling effort with 2-14 from his two overs.
RCB were then dismissed for 189 in 19.5 overs in their reply. Openers Phil Salt and Virat Kohli were the main scorers with 62 off 32 balls and 43 off 25 balls, respectively, while Jitesh Sharma hit 24 off 15 balls as well.
Sunrisers skipper Pat Cummins was the pick of the bowlers with 3-28 from his four overs while Ehsan Malinga picked up two wickets in support.
