Jamaican Life University freshman Briana Campbell claimed a trio of gold medals at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Marion, Indiana from May 21-23.
Campbell, who has committed to Clemson University, first ran 11.38 to claim 100m gold narrowly ahead of William Carey junior Denai Wilson (11.40) and Dillard senior Kevell Byrd (11.59).
She then returned a few hours later to claim 200m gold in 23.37 ahead of Byrd (23.51) and Wilson (23.59).
Those performances came a day after she ran a meet record 13.01 to claim gold in the 100m hurdles ahead of William Carey senior Salieci Myles (13.22) and Concordia junior Adrianna Rodencal (13.54).
The Men’s 110m hurdles saw Bahamian Our Lady of the Lake freshman Malik White run 14.01 to claim silver behind Doane senior Zach Turner (13.72) while Wayland Baptist junior Justin Guy was third in 14.02.
Bahamian Life senior Printassia Johnson took gold in the Women’s 400m in 52.46 ahead of Cumberland senior Praise Idamadudu (54.23) and Jamaican St. Thomas freshman Tonyan Beckford (54.33).
The Men’s 400m saw Jamaican Texas Wesleyan junior Tyrece Grant run 46.46 for third behind Madonna freshman Netanel Dorothea (46.44) and Evangel freshman Devyn Wright (46.19).
