Louisiana State University (LSU) sophomore Jaiden Reid produced a personal best and national record to advance to the final of the Men’s 200m on day one of the 2025 South East Conference (SEC) Outdoor Championships at the University of Kentucky on Thursday.

The only athletes faster than Reid in the heats were Auburn senior Makanakaishe Charamba (19.92) and Arkansas sophomore Jordan Anthony (20.10).

Also advancing to a final on Thursday was USVI star and Georgia freshman Michelle Smith who ran 55.17 to advance third-fastest in the Women’s 400m hurdles.

A pair of Jamaican Arkansas athletes also made it through to the final of the Men’s 800m, senior Rivaldo Marshall and junior Tyrice Taylor.

Marshall ran 1:47.52 to finish second in heat two while Taylor won heat one 1:48.30.
