Jamaican Arizona State senior Brandon Lloyd took home silver in the Men’s Shot Put on day two of the 2025 Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Kansas on Friday.
Lloyd produced a best distance of 20.20m with his second-round effort to secure the podium finish.
Cincinnati senior Fred Moudani Likibi took top spot with a season’s best 20.28 while Arizona senior Zach Linda took bronze with 19.88m.
The Women’s Long Jump saw Trinidadian Baylor freshman Janae De Gannes, who also qualified for the 100m final with 11.74, take silver in her first ever Big 12 Championships thanks to a 6.49m effort in the first round.
The event was won comfortably by De Gannes’ senior teammate Alexis brown who produced a personal best 7.03m while Texas Tech senior Victoria Gorlova took third with a season’s best 6.40m.
Bahamian Texas Tech junior Antione Andrews and Jamaican Baylor sophomore Demario Prince ran 13.46 and 13.52, respectively, to advance to the final of the Men’s 110m hurdles.
The Women’s 100m hurdles heats saw Jamaican Texas Tech sophomore Tonie-Ann Forbes advance to the final with a 13.24 effort.
Jamaican Texas Tech junior Kimarlie Stewart was fastest through to the final of the Men’s 100m with a 10.31 effort to win his heat.
