Faion Hicks welcomed the opportunity to give back to his roots by launching the inaugural Faion Hicks Football Camp in the Turks and Caicos Islands, a one-day initiative he hopes will plant seeds of inspiration, discipline, and ambition in the territory’s youth.

The free camp, scheduled for July 9 at the TCIFA National Academy in Providenciales, is being staged through a collaborative effort between the Faion Hicks Foundation, the Turks and Caicos Islands Sports Commission, the TCI Football Federation, and Experience Turks and Caicos. It will provide local boys and girls ages 8 to 16 with the rare chance to learn the fundamentals of American football directly from a National Football League (NFL) athlete who proudly traces his heritage to the islands.

“Bringing my first football camp to Turks and Caicos means everything to me. This island isn’t just a destination; it’s part of who I am. As the first NFL player with roots in the Turks and Caicos Islands, I feel a deep responsibility to give back and invest in the youth here," Hicks said.

Hicks, a former cornerback for the Denver Broncos, was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft following an impressive collegiate career at the University of Wisconsin, where he built a reputation for his sharp instincts, speed, and leadership. Through his foundation, Hicks has turned his passion for football into a broader mission to empower young people through sport, education, and character development.

The upcoming camp reflects that vision. Participants will engage in skill-based drills, gameplay instruction, and team-building exercises under the guidance of Hicks and a group of experienced coaches. Motivational talks will also be a central feature, as Hicks seeks to use his journey as a blueprint for youth to chase their own dreams.

"Through the Faion Hicks Foundation, I’m committed to helping the next generation reach their full potential, not just as athletes, but as leaders, teammates, and role models. July 9th is just the beginning," he stated.
