Despite missing the first two games of the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball League season, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard has finished the campaign as the league's most dominant force, topping Net Points (1,493), Goals Scored (790) and Goal Attempts (817) as her West Coast Fever stormed into the Grand Final following a resounding 77-45 victory over the NSW Swifts on Sunday.

Fowler-Nembhard’s consistency and precision—achieved despite a late start to the season—once again highlighted her elite status, as she led all comers in major statistical categories. Her nearest rival, Grace Nweke, finished with 741 goals from 815 attempts, while Jamaican teammate Shimona Jok tallied 635 goals, the third-highest total in the league.

Jok, whose physicality and accuracy have been crucial for the Melbourne Vixens this season, was rewarded with a new contract for the 2026 season, underscoring her value to the club and her continued rise in the professional ranks.

Veteran shooter Romelda Aiken-George—another Jamaican standout—also enjoyed a productive season, finishing fourth in goals scored with 618 and third in attempts with 706, proving once again that experience remains an invaluable asset in the circle.

On the defensive end, Latanya Wilson of the Adelaide Thunderbirds delivered one of the most dominant campaigns in league history. She topped both deflections (97) and intercepts (41), almost doubling the next best in intercepts, Sarah Klau (24). Wilson's ability to read the play, disrupt opposition structures and turn defence into attack was pivotal for the Thunderbirds throughout the season.

Kadie-Ann Dehaney, representing Sunshine Coast Lightning, rounded out a powerful Jamaican contingent with another steady year at goal-keeper. She finished in the top five in deflections (60) and defensive rebounds (20), continuing to build her reputation as a reliable and composed presence in the back court.

With Fowler-Nembhard now eyeing another title with West Coast Fever and three other Jamaican players—Wilson, Jok, and Aiken-George—finishing among the league’s top performers, the Caribbean nation’s grip on elite netball remains firm. As Australia’s premier league prepares for its finale, the message is clear: Jamaica’s stars aren’t just participating—they're leading.
