The 2025 SKNFA FA Cup has reached its most crucial stage yet, as the quarterfinal matchups are now confirmed following the conclusion of Round of 16 action on Wednesday night at Warner Park.

Among the standout performers were SKELEC Garden Hotspurs, who powered past Unicomer/The Cable Village Galaxy with a 4-0 victory. Goals from Marvin McSheen (24’), Shervin Allen (27’), Diandra Challenger (49’), and Caldre Liburd (73’) sealed the emphatic win.

In the second match of the evening, Azul Cayon Rockets exploded to a 5-1 rout over Mantab. Mervin Lewis bagged a brace (31’, 37’), with Raheem Davis (50’), Vinceroy Nelson (59’), and Rodgenieque Hendricks (89’) adding to the tally.

These results completed the quarterfinal bracket, which is now set as follows:

Friday, May 9 – Warner Park

  • 6:30 PM – MFCR Old Road United Jets (Defending Champions) vs Rams Village Superstars
  • 8:30 PM – SOL IAS Conaree FC vs Development Bank St. Peters FC

Saturday, May 10 – Warner Park

  • 6:00 PM – S L Horsford St. Paul’s United vs Tropical Blossom Hotspring Bath United
  • 8:00 PM – SKELEC Garden Hotspurs vs Azul Cayon Rockets

The knockout round began on Saturday, May 4, with MFCR Old Road United Jets, the defending champions, taking a 2-0 win over TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles. Jardel Isaac broke the deadlock on the stroke of halftime (45’), and Nejohn Browne added a late goal in stoppage time.

Coach Alexis Morris highlighted the match as a warm-up for what lies ahead. “Come the next match, I believe that the patrons are going to get something to look forward to. OR will be stronger… the FA Cup for me is the hardest championship to win because, again, it's just one game and if you don't deliver, then you're out.”

In the Basseterre derby, Rams Village Superstars defeated Honda Newtown United 2-0 behind goals from Kimaree Rogers (8’) and a late clincher by Dahjal Kelly (89’), who was making a return from suspension.

Coach George Isaac applauded the squad’s depth and fitness while noting Kelly’s impact. “He was and still is a great asset. He was missing but still, we just got to work with what we have and just make sure we get the best out of the player.”

Newtown’s Coach Yusuf Saunders remained proud of his squad’s fight despite the result. “Lots of positives... I feel the guys gave it every single thing, and they gave it their best shot, stuck to the game plan. Nevertheless, the scoreline did not display what happened out there tonight.”

Sunday, May 5 brought more drama as SOL IAS Conaree FC ran out 4-1 winners over Mother Becky’s Tea/Fast Cash Saddlers United. Goals came from Tijani Fahie (22’), Errol O’loughlin (37’), Kaleb Bridgewater (81’), and Dagena Roberts (90’), while Saddlers managed a late consolation from Jarin Clarke (90+6’).

In the nightcap, Development Bank St. Peters FC downed Molineux Pitbulls 3-0, with Kareem Simmonds opening the scoring and Kirkland Harris netting a second-half brace.

On Tuesday, May 7, S L Horsford St. Paul’s United delivered the most dominant result of the tournament so far, dismantling Elco Ltd. Security Forces FC 9-0. Deonte Liburd led the charge with a hat-trick (26’, 37’, 49’), joined by goals from Vyhonrai Francis (6’, 55’), Anthony Caines, Kalonji Clarke, Keithroy Freeman, and Karique Thomas.

Later that night, Tropical Blossom Hotspring Bath United edged Jones Group Sandy Point 2-1. Rocco Browne (16’) and Chris Jeffers (44’) gave Bath a 2-0 cushion before Troy Bassue pulled one back for Sandy Point in the 78th minute. However, Bath held firm with strong goalkeeping to secure their quarterfinal berth.

The 2025 FA Cup began with preliminary rounds on April 30, where early highlights included TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles’ 8-0 thrashing of Conaree Fireball International, powered by four goals from Jamar Johnson, and Unicomer/The Cable Village Galaxy’s 6-0 win over 607 Construction Lodge Patriots, led by a hat-trick from Davin Kelly.

With the final eight teams now locked in and just one match standing between them and the semifinals, the stakes have never been higher. From defending champions to emerging threats, the SKNFA FA Cup continues to deliver the tension, talent, and unpredictability that fans crave.
