Jamaican-American Small Forward Josh Minott has signed a two-year deal with 18-time NBA Champions Boston Celtics.

Minott’s deal, first reported by ESPN, is for $5.5 million and includes a team option in the second year.

Minott, 22, was the 45th overall pick by Charlotte in 2022 and was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on draft night.

He was never able to earn a rotation spot with the Wolves, appearing in 93 total games in three seasons, including 46 last season, with career averages of 2.3 points and 1.0 rebounds in 5.0 minutes per night.

The former University of Memphis standout will be looking to cement a rotation spot with the 2023-24 NBA Champions, especially in what looks to be a rebuilding year for the league's most successful franchise with the expected season-long absence of superstar Jason Tatum and the departure of two key components of their championship season, Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis, via trade.

The Boca Raton, Florida-born Minott has committed to representing the Jamaica National Team internationally after representing the Caribbean nation at the 2019 FIBA Centrobasket Under-17 Championship in Puerto Rico where he averaged 26 points, nine rebounds and 4.6 steals per game.
