Rodrigo Muniz was on the scoresheet again as Fulham claimed an impressive 3-0 win over Brighton at Craven Cottage.

The Brazilian forward claimed his fifth Premier League goal in his last five matches after Harry Wilson’s long-range effort put the Cottagers’ ahead.

Adama Traore came off the bench to score in second half added time.

Fulham registered their first back-to-back league wins since December after their 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The hosts kept the momentum from last week’s victory and started the better of the two teams.

After Harrison Reed’s bursting run forced a yellow card from Carlos Baleba, the stand-in skipper tested Jason Steele from inside the area, getting on the end of a free-kick.

Fulham’s early pressure was rewarded in the 21st minute when they took the lead. The inform Muniz hustled Lewis Dunk in the air, knocking the ball down into the path of Wilson who curled his effort into the top left-hand corner.

Brighton searched for a way back into the game and missed two quickfire chances to equalise.

After Adam Lallana’s long-range strike whistled past Bernd Leno’s post, Julio Enciso showed intricate skill to beat his marker before the Seagulls midfielder’s shot failed to hit the target.

The Cottagers on the other hand did not have to be asked twice in front of goal as they scored again to double their lead.

Wilson, who had been untouchable up to this point, repaid Muniz’s earlier favour, curling the ball onto the head of his team-mate who nodded home to continue his stunning scoring form.

Fulham continued to impress in the second half through the electric partnership of Wilson and Muniz.

Wilson initially dragged his one-on-one wide of Steele’s left-hand post but was given another opportunity to score.

Muniz showed strength to hold off the defender, drove into the box and found Wilson who was dispossessed by Dunk’s last-ditch effort to keep the score at 2-0.

Evan Ferguson had a golden chance to score from inside the six-yard box but the forward poked his effort wide in a move which summed up the visitors’ lacklustre display.

Fulham allowed Roberto De Zerbi’s men possession as they began to shut up shop. Pervis Estupinan was unleashed down the left, whipping a dangerous ball to the rising Baleba whose header ballooned over the bar before he was substituted minutes later.

Traore was played through and buried his effort to give Fulham a third during four added minutes.

Adam Lallana has revealed part of Brighton and Hove Albion's plan in their opening weekend victory at Manchester United was to target new arrival Lisandro Martinez.

Graham Potter's side got their Premier League campaign underway with their first ever win at Old Trafford, with the former England international a key figure to his team's 2-1 success on Sunday.

The introduction in the second half of Cristiano Ronaldo by new United manager Erik ten Hag was not enough for the hosts, as Pascal Gross' two first-half goals proved enough to see off an Alexis Mac Allister own goal.

Martinez made his debut from the start following his pre-season move from Ajax, and the Argentine's partnership with Harry Maguire was put to the test early on by the movement of the visitors.

Speaking to Sky Sports' Melissa Reddy after the win, Lallana said it had been part of the plan to try and unsettle Martinez as he was new to the league.

"[The plan was] to have a lot of courage," the former Liverpool man revealed. "We had a shape, we had triggers. Me and [Danny Welbeck] have a lot of experience in the final third.

"We went a little bit more direct because we knew United had been pressing well in pre-season, obviously with new ideas from the manager, and I thought Wells caused them problems all game.

"With their new signing [Martinez], we know the Premier League's difficult, so we thought we'd ask him questions early on. We landed on second balls, gained good territory and attacked the ball well in numbers. Something we've spoken about is getting across the front post and Pascal got the finishes."

Ronaldo was left on the bench initially by Ten Hag, having only featured for 45 minutes of pre-season due to personal reasons, though there had also been frequent speculation suggesting he wishes to leave for a Champions League club.

His introduction early in the second half led to a change of shape, with another United debutant, Christian Eriksen, moving from a false nine position into midfield.

Lallana credited Potter with "taking the sting" out of the game, while also bemoaning some refereeing decisions that went against them, including a push from Martinez on Welbeck in the penalty area that was deemed fair by the officials.

"We knew they were going to react tactically or with personnel," he said. "We played the second half knowing it wasn't going to be the same [as the first], but we weathered the storm.

"I thought there were a couple of decisions that didn't go our way. We had a penalty chance, a couple of fouls that the ref let go, but we made good subs at good times. I thought the manager just took the sting out of the game and we shored the game up brilliantly in the last five or 10 minutes.

"It was a huge positive and good game management."

Jurgen Klopp says former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana is one of the best players he has ever worked with ahead of the Reds' showdown with Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.

Lallana returns to Anfield for the second time since departing for the Seagulls on a free transfer in July 2020.

Though not always a guaranteed starter with injuries hampering his progress, the former England international's work rate was widely recognised during his six-year spell with Liverpool.

Indeed, he would often lead the way with the high press implemented by Klopp since taking over the reins at Anfield in October 2015.

And the Reds head coach was full of praise for the 33-year-old, who scored 22 goals in 178 appearances for the club in all competitions.

"I still miss Adam, to be honest," said Klopp. "It's not easy to miss Adam because pretty much everybody here in the club still has contact with him.

"Adam set the standard from the first to the last day pretty much, and it was really impressive.

"A player with technical skills and that working mentality is rare.

"If he hadn't been injured as often, he would have been on another level and it was still already great.

"He's one of the best players I've ever worked with. He's an incredible person as well, so I'm really looking forward to seeing him again."

Klopp also hailed the job done by Graham Potter at the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls, who were 1-0 winners at Anfield last season, are fifth in the Premier League having collected 15 points from their opening nine games of this term.

Despite last weekend's 4-1 defeat by Manchester City, Potter's side impressed with their long spells of possession – particularly during the second half of the contest – and the Reds boss is fully aware of the task at hand.

"It's one of the trickiest games [in the Premier League] with the job Graham has done at Brighton," Klopp continued.

"To keep the ball and pass the ball the way they did against [Manchester] City is a really difficult thing to do, and they did it.

"We lost the game here against Brighton [last season], so that’s another warning sign.

"They're a real threat; they try to create, they defend well. We have to be at our best.

"I couldn't respect more what Graham is doing at Brighton. I am a big admirer of his work. He's a top-class manager."

Klopp revealed Naby Keita is available for selection after he was substituted following a heavy challenge by Paul Pogba in last weekend's 5-0 thrashing of Manchester United.

Although, the Reds will be without Fabinho, Thiago and James Milner.
