Fraser McConnell continued his dominant form in the 2025 RallyX Series this past weekend, claiming 2nd place in Alvsbyn, Sweden, on Saturday, June 28, and extending his impressive podium streak in the championship.
Representing OMSE Racing, McConnell delivered a strong performance throughout the weekend, finishing the qualifying heats in 2nd overall, which earned him a front-row start in the Finals alongside teammates Casper Jansson (P1) and Oliver Eriksson (P3).
In the final, the OMSE trio put on a thrilling and respectful display of team racing. McConnell chose an aggressive early-joker strategy to gain clean air, which allowed him to overtake Eriksson at the merge. He then set his sights on closing the gap to Jansson. On the final lap, Jansson successfully defended the lead by rejoining just ahead of McConnell after his own joker lap, securing a 1-2-3 finish for the OMSE Racing Team.
“It was a tough, clean battle, exactly the kind of racing we want to bring to our fans,” McConnell said after the race. “I’m proud of the entire team for locking out the podium and I’m looking forward to carrying this momentum into Denmark in August.”
This marks another strong result for the Jamaican driver as he continues his push for the RallyX title. McConnell’s next outing in Rally X will take place in Denmark on August 2 and 3.
