Two players from Jamaica’s Rugby League champions have been named in a strong 20-man national squad set to take on England Knights at Emerald Headingly Stadium on Sunday.

Duhaney Park Red Sharks defeated GC Angels 24-16 to be crowned 2019 JRLA National Club Champions. 

Newcomers West Kingston Hyenas are the seventh club to join the JRLA National Championship, the 15th season of which kicked off this week.

The Duhaney Park Red Sharks defeated the Jamaica Defence Force Warriors 30-4 to win the 2018 JRLA Knockout title, their third straight.

Duhaney Park Red Sharks devoured the JDF Warriors on the weekend to successfully defend their RLATG National Club Rugby League title and win the championship for a record sixth time.

Defending champions Duhaney Park Red Sharks secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Rugby League Around The Grounds National Club Championship in Jamaica following their resounding 66-10 victory over Liguanea Dragons at the UWI Mona Sports Complex on Saturday.
