Jamaica thrower O’Dayne Richards was elated to claim gold in the men’s discus on Monday night but was equally pleased his compatriot Ashinia Miller followed closely behind him on the podium.

Jamaica sprint hurdler Jeanine Williams admitted to mixed emotions after a third-place finish in the women’s 100m hurdles final at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla Colombia on Tuesday.

Alia Atkinson, the only Caribbean swimmer to ever win a medal in the 100-metre breaststroke at the Central American and Caribbean Games, is now also the winningest athlete in the event ever.
