With three gold medals already in the bag from the Japan and China legs of the 2019 FINA World Cup Tour, Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson added a couple more at the Singapore leg this past weekend.

Jamaica Olympian Alia Atkinson continued to round into form for this summer’s World Championships in Gwangju, Korea, with a season-best performance in the 100-metre breaststroke on Thursday at the 2019 Clovis Pro Swim Series Meet in Clovis, California.

Both Olympian Alia Atkinson CD and compatriot Breanna Roman recorded season-best times in their respective breaststroke finals at the 2019 TYR Pro Swim Series in Richmond, Virginia Thursday.

Alia Atkinson believes that no having a physiotherapist at her disposal robbed her of a possible world record in the 100m breaststroke at the Swimming World Championships in Hangzhuo, China on Saturday.

Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson won the Women 100 SCM breaststroke gold medal at the World Swimming Champions in Hangzhou, China, on Saturday morning. She previously won 100m titles in Doha in 2014 and Ontario in 2016.

Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson remained on course for a third consecutive 100m breaststroke medal at the World Swimming Championships on Friday by winning her semi-final heat in the fastest time of the championships so far.

Having had a taste of the FINA World Cup tour earlier this month, Jamaica’s Breanna Roman said she is now eager to compete on the tour next season.

Jamaica’s Alia Atkinson won her seventh gold medal on the FINA World Cup Tour on Friday, taking the 100m breaststroke on the opening day in Singapore on Friday.
