Jamaica forward Dever Orgill will turn out for a new club in Turkey when the Turkish top division gets underway next month.

The 30-year-old Titchfield High School star took to Instagram earlier this week to announce that he has signed for Antalyaspor. He was released by Ankaraguchu at the end of the 2019-2020 season

“Proud and excited about my new chapter with @Antalyaspor Looking forward to the 2020/2021 season. #Godhasus #newchapter #antalyaspor #blessed”," Orgill wrote on his Instagram page.

Orgill also thanked his former club Ankaraguchu where he plied his trade last season, making 43 appearances and scoring 11 goals.

“Thank you @ankaragucu it was a pleasure to wear the Blue and Yellow jersey for the last year and a half. Thank you to the Presidents, city of Ankara, fans, coaches, medical staff, workers at the facility and players. Thank you for all of the support. You will always be in my heart. I wish the team all the best in the future," the Jamaican further wrote.

Orgill, who has scored four goals for the Reggae Boyz in 17 appearances, is expected to bolster the Antalyaspor attack, which also features former German international Lukas Podolski.

Last season, Antalyaspor finished ninth in the 18-team Super Lig, which was affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The new season of the Turkish Super Lig will start on September 11 and end on May 16.

The Super Lig clubs will be able to sign up a maximum of 14 foreign players, of whom only eight may be on the pitch at a time, the Turkish Football Federation said.

Erling Haaland has been ruled out until January with a torn hamstring that head coach Lucien Favre has suggested could have been avoided had the striker not been overused.

The Norway international was left out of Dortmund's squad for Wednesday's 1-1 Champions League draw with Lazio as a result of the injury he sustained in training.

He has featured 14 times for Dortmund in all competitions this term, starting 13 of those games and scoring 17 times.

However, BVB will now have to make do without the 20-year-old for the remainder of 2020 in a major blow for Favre.

"He won't play before the beginning of January. He may have played too much," Favre told Sky Germany. "At first we thought it wouldn't be that bad. But he can't play now."

Dortmund sit four points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich and face Eintracht Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Werder Bremen and Union Berlin before the end of the year.

They also have a trip to Eintracht Braunschweig in the DFB-Pokal second round and a Champions League meeting with Zenit next week in what is a hectic month.

Haaland, who netted 16 goals in just 18 appearances for the club last season, will hope to be back for Dortmund's trip to high-flying RB Leipzig on January 9, which comes six days after they host Wolfsburg to begin 2021.

Since Haaland's debut, Dortmund have been without the star for just three Bundesliga matches – but they have won all of them while scoring nine goals. With Haaland, Dortmund have recorded 16 wins and seven losses since his debut in January.

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed striker Erling Haaland has suffered a hamstring injury.

The Norway star was left out of the squad for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Lazio at Signal Iduna Park.

Dortmund tweeted to confirm the 20-year-old has a muscle problem, which he reportedly sustained in training.

The news is a blow for Lucien Favre's side, who will secure qualification for the last 16 by avoiding defeat to lazio.

Haaland has scored 16 goals in the competition at a rate of one every 56 minutes, which is the best average of any player with at least 10 goals in the competition. He is just three short of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's record of 19 for a Norwegian player.

Former Salzburg striker Haaland also has 10 goals in eight Bundesliga appearances in 2020-21 for a Dortmund side who sit four points behind leaders Bayern Munich after nine games.

They face Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday before next Tuesday's final Champions League group game against Zenit.
