Lyon star Houssem Aouar explained his decision to snub interest from across Europe, insisting he has unfinished business at the Ligue 1 club.

Aouar was tipped to join Premier League side Arsenal, while the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid were also linked.

But the 22-year-old French midfielder will remain with the 2019-20 Champions League semi-finalists this season.

"[Why did I make] my choice to stay in Lyon?" Aouar said after scoring in Lyon's 1-1 Ligue 1 draw against rivals Marseille on Sunday.

"I felt that I could still bring something to this team and to this club.

"That's why I have made the choice to continue my adventure with Lyon. I hope we will get up and find our form again quickly."

Aouar converted a 28th-minute penalty to cancel out Dimitri Payet's opener three minutes earlier as Lyon and 10-man Marseille shared the spoils.

Lyon have struggled for form since their memorable run in the Champions League last season, managing just one win from six Ligue 1 fixtures this term to sit 14th in the table.

"We are very disappointed that we did not pick up the three points. This is really what we had to do. We had to win, especially after our recent results.

"I find it hard to explain why we were not better up front. We can make the gap but we miss the right pass or the right shot. It is something that must be improved as quickly as possible. It is not normal for us."

Moise Kean has completed a season-long loan move to Paris Saint-Germain from Everton.

The Italy international makes the temporary switch until June 2021 to the Ligue 1 champions, who confirmed they do not have a purchase option on the 20-year-old striker.

Kean joined Everton from Juventus ahead of the 2019-20 campaign but managed just two goals in 31 Premier League matches.

"I am particularly proud and happy to become a Paris Saint-Germain player. They are one of the best clubs in the world as demonstrated by their recent participation in the Champions League final," Kean told PSG's official website.

"I am delighted to join such an ambitious club whose reputation is very important in my country. I can't wait to evolve alongside some of the best players in the world."

Kean made his Juve debut aged just 16 years, eight months and 21 days in November 2016, becoming the club's youngest ever player.

He made 16 Serie A appearances in total for Juve, scoring seven goals, while he won the Scudetto twice and the Coppa Italia once.

His arrival adds competition to a PSG forward line that boasts Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi, but has lost Edinson Cavani and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Manchester United are reportedly set to finally make another signing with the arrival of Edinson Cavani.

Cavani, 33, has been a free agent since leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract in June.

Linked with numerous clubs, the Uruguayan appears set for Old Trafford.

TOP STORY – CAVANI AGREES TO JOIN MAN UTD

Cavani is set to travel to England on Sunday to complete his move to Manchester United, according to The Guardian.

Widespread reports say Cavani will join United on a one-year deal with the option of extending until 2022.

Cavani scored 200 goals across seven seasons at PSG, becoming the Ligue 1 club's all-time leading goalscorer.

ROUND-UP

- Callum Hudson-Odoi's future looks set to be a major talking point before the transfer window closes on Monday. The Daily Mail reports Chelsea turned down an offer for Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich, who are said to have initially wanted the attacker on loan with an option to buy for €77.3million (£70m).

- Elsewhere in London, Dele Alli's future at Tottenham remains uncertain. The Daily Mail says Spurs are expecting another bid from PSG for the midfielder after having two offers rejected. Staying at Spurs and The Athletic reports they have reached an agreement with Hoffenheim to loan out Ryan Sessegnon for the 2020-21 season.

- It seems Arsenal have fallen short in their bid to sign Lyon star Houssem Aouar. Goal reports the 22-year-old is planning to stay at the Ligue 1 club despite apparent interest from Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid.

- Arsenal may look elsewhere. ESPN reports Arsenal have turned their focus to Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, who they hope to sign on loan.

- Chelsea could be looking for others to leave too. The Sun reports the Premier League club want to see Ruben Loftus-Cheek depart on loan, with Southampton linked with the midfielder.

- Moise Kean may be heading back to Juventus. Corriere dello Sport says Juve want the Everton forward on a free loan with a purchase option, while the Premier League high-flyers are hoping to get back the €27.5million (£24.9m) plus €2.5m (£2.3m) in add-ons they paid for the 20-year-old last year.

Could Ousmane Dembele be the solution for Manchester United?

Jadon Sancho has been United's number one target, but the Premier League giants have been unable to prise the Englishman from Borussia Dortmund.

Barca's Dembele is reportedly next on the list and believed to be open to swapping Spain for England.

TOP STORY – DEMBELE WEIGHING UP MAN UTD MOVE

Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele is considering a transfer to Manchester United, according to Sport.

Dembele – struggling for game time at Camp Nou – has emerged as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho for United, who are trying to sign an attacker before the transfer window closes.

Initially linked with a loan move, ESPN claims United are prepared to pay €50million (£45m) for Dembele as Paul Pogba attempts to convince the Frenchman to make the move.

ROUND-UP

- Goal says Bayern Munich are trying to convince Chelsea to sanction Callum Hudson-Odoi's exit, initially on loan. Bayern previously tried to sign Hudson-Odoi and the Bundesliga champions have returned again, prepared to include an obligation to buy the 19-year-old winger in 2021.

- L'Equipe claims Real Madrid have entered the race for Lyon star Houssem Aouar. The Frenchman has been heavily linked to Arsenal, as well as Paris Saint-Germain.

Lucas Torreira will undergo a medical on Saturday ahead of joining Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal, says Onda Cero.

Diogo Dalot will join Milan from United on loan, reports Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio. Out of favour in Manchester, the Portuguese full-back had also been linked to Roma.

- According to the front pages of Saturday's Tuttosport, Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Federico Chiesa is nearing a Fiorentina exit as he eyes Serie A champions Juventus. The Italian has also been linked to the likes of United, Inter and Chelsea.

Napoli have submitted an offer to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko on loan, reports Fabrizio Romano. Hertha Berlin, PSG and Milan are also reportedly eyeing the Frenchman.

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo said Thomas Tuchel must accept decisions made above him if he stays at the Ligue 1 champions, though he acknowledged signing Houssem Aouar would be a "dream".

Alessandro Florenzi has been the only new arrival at PSG ahead of the 2020-21 season, despite the departures of important figures Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva and Thomas Meunier in Paris.

In a news conference on Thursday, head coach Tuchel – who led PSG to their first Champions League final last term – called for reinforcements by saying: "If we keep the squad we have today, honestly, we can't ask for the same results."

Leonardo criticised the German boss for his public remarks following PSG's 6-1 thrashing of Angers at the Parc des Princes on Friday.

"I did not appreciate Tuchel's comments. I did not understand them and I did not like them. The club did not like them either," said Leonardo.

"We will see internally. If someone is not happy, we talk, there is no problem. But if he decides to stay, he must decide to respect the choices of the sports management.

"We're not here to go to trial. We have to have the spirit of suffering for the club, the spirit of sacrifice. The important thing is the club. We didn't like it [the way Tuchel spoke]."

PSG have been linked with a move for Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, who is also a target for Premier League side Arsenal.

Asked if he expected any additions before the transfer window closes on Monday, Leonardo said: "We will try to do things. We will see, but there is nothing for sure.

"Aouar, that makes you dream. But now may not be the time. It's a bit complicated at the moment."

Paris Saint-Germain may have hammered Angers 6-1 on Friday, but Thomas Tuchel was frustrated by what he perceived as a "lack of efficiency".

Reigning Ligue 1 champions PSG took the lead at the Parc des Princes inside seven minutes thanks to Alessandro Florenzi's first goal and Neymar got off the mark for the season with a double.

Angers pulled one back through Ismael Traore but Julian Draxler, Idrissa Gueye and Kylian Mbappe ensured there was to be no second-half comeback from Stephane Moulin's men.

PSG has 18 shots on goal but were at times vulnerable to the counter-attack, with Tuchel calling for his team to do more to implement a high press.

"I was a little frustrated with our lack of efficiency," Tuchel told Telefoot.

"We still created a lot of chances but the timing and the aggressiveness in the box were better. We scored a lot of goals. We had a great match with a great victory. It gives us a lot of confidence.

"In some games, it's hard to put the intensity on the ball. Regaining the ball high in the opposition's half against a team that is not organised allows us to create opportunities more easily than when we are facing a block of 10 defenders.

"It is very important to close spaces when attacking. It's demanding, it's intensive, but we have to do that. If we do that, it's more difficult to make counter-attacks against us and it allows us to create chances."

Tuchel has been outspoken about PSG's need to strengthen before the transfer window closes on Monday, with Florenzi the only new arrival despite the departures of Edinson Cavani, Thiago Silva and Thomas Meunier.

Asked how he will feel if there are no more signings, he said: "We have to wait, I've talked about it a lot. I always give my opinion honestly. We're never going to stop pushing and believing that we can do good things.

"But it's also necessary to give your opinion as a coach. That's what I did. There are still a few days left and we can analyse afterwards."

Neymar got off the mark for the season with a double as Paris Saint-Germain defeated Angers 6-1 in Ligue 1 on Friday.

A suspension and a calf issue hindered Neymar's start to the campaign, but he was in fine form with a goal in either half as Thomas Tuchel's men ran riot at the Parc des Princes.

Alessandro Florenzi opened the scoring in the seventh minute with a beautiful first goal for the club before the brace from PSG's Brazil star moved them out of sight early in the second half.

Ismael Traore got Angers on the board but strikes from Julian Draxler, Idrissa Gueye and Kylian Mbappe ensured there was no tense finale as the champions recorded their fourth straight win.

After Mbappe saw a low effort saved well by Paul Bernardoni, Florenzi took the goalkeeper out of the equation with a sublime lobbed volley from the right side of the box.

Mbappe sent a cutback into Bernardoni's arms after rounding the goalkeeper but got it right at the next attempt, darting between Sada Thioub and Abdoulaye Bamba and teeing up Neymar to slam in off the underside of the crossbar.

Mbappe had a goal chalked off for offside against Mauro Icardi in the build-up before half-time but Neymar made it three in the 47th minute, slotting home Florenzi's deflected cross.

Angers pulled one back when captain Traore ghosted in behind Mitchel Bakker to head Pierrick Capelle's delivery beyond Keylor Navas, but hopes of a comeback were short-lived.

PSG restored their three-goal cushion in the 57th minute when Bakker squared for Draxler and his shot found the back of the net via a deflection.

Substitute Gueye also benefited from a wicked deflection as his 25-yard shot spun past Bernardoni in the 71st minute.

PSG were in cruise control and Mbappe rounded off the scoring with a first-time finish from Pablo Sarabia's low cross, leaving Bernardoni rooted to the spot.

What does it mean? Early blip truly in the past

PSG's title defence started with back-to-back defeats to Lens and Marseille, but they appear to be back to their brilliant best despite continuing to contend with suspensions and injuries.

They moved to within a point of pacesetters Rennes, who are not in action until Sunday against Reims, and Tuchel will expect them to make top spot their own soon after the international break.

A stunning partnership

Neymar and Mbappe looked a cut above against Angers, with their link-up play proving a particular highlight. Mbappe has now set up five more Ligue 1 goals for Neymar than any other PSG player.

Icardi in the background

Mbappe and Neymar shone far brighter than Icardi, who only had 19 touches and made eight passes. He was denied a goal by a brilliant block from Traore on the edge of the six-yard box in the 76th minute.

What's next?

PSG travel to Nimes after the international break, while Angers will entertain Metz.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly pushing to land Dele Alli, while they may also challenge Arsenal for Houssem Aouar.

Struggling for game time at Tottenham, Alli was on the scoresheet in Thursday's Europa League thrashing of Maccabi Haifa.

But the midfielder may yet depart the Premier League club.

TOP STORY – PSG PUSH FOR ALLI

Paris Saint-Germain have made a push to sign Alli on loan before the transfer deadline on Monday, according to The Telegraph.

Alli has only made three appearances this season, including just 46 minutes in the Premier League.

The 24-year-old England international has been at Spurs since 2015.

ROUND-UP

- Uncertainty remains over Aouar's future at Lyon. Fabrizio Romano reports Arsenal are still in talks but are yet to reach an agreement with Lyon, while L'Equipe says PSG are also interested.

- Could Antonio Conte and Marcos Alonso reunite at Inter? CalcioMercato claims Inter are interested in signing the Chelsea left-back, who worked with Conte at Stamford Bridge.

- Roma are yet to find a deal to sign Chris Smalling. Fabrizio Romano reports the Serie A club will make a new bid for the Manchester United defender, who impressed on loan at Roma in 2019-20.

- Tiemoue Bakayoko could be set for a move from Chelsea. Gianluca Di Marzio says Napoli are eyeing the midfielder, who has been on loan at Milan and Monaco in the past two seasons.

- As their tough window continues, Manchester United could be getting closer to a signing. Sport 890 reports the Premier League club are set to make a move for Penarol's 18-year-old attacker Facundo Pellistri.

This year's Champions League campaign will be a "revenge" mission for Paris Saint-Germain, according to midfielder Ander Herrera.

The French giants fell at the final hurdle in the 2019-20 season, Kingsley Coman's goal enough to hand Bayern Munich a 1-0 victory in August.

The draw for this season's group stage took place on Thursday, with Thomas Tuchel's men drawn against Herrera's former side Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.

Herrera described the group as "spicy" and has warned his team-mates they will need to be at their best to advance to the knock-out stages and give themselves the opportunity to go one better than last season.

"It's a very strong group," he told Telefoot. "Perhaps the most spicy of all, but we are ready. It will be challenging against Leipzig and Manchester United, who we know well. Also, it's never easy to play in Turkey.

"There is a feeling of revenge. We want to show everyone we can fight again for this Champions League, but this group of the first round is very strong. If we miss out on a game, we can be eliminated.

"It will be necessary to be attentive. It will be necessary to prepare for all the matches like finals. Error is prohibited. Everyone dreams of winning this Champions League. We have to play with optimism and the conviction that we are going to win it."

Manchester United completed a stunning last-16 win over PSG in the 2018-19 season, the Red Devils coming back from a 2-0 first leg defeat at Old Trafford to win 3-1 in Paris courtesy of Marcus Rashford's stoppage-time penalty.

PSG head coach Tuchel agreed with Herrera's assessment that it is a tough group and says he will be aiming to mastermind a repeat of the win at Old Trafford two seasons ago.

"We are happy and looking forward to returning to the Champions League soon," he told PSG TV.

"It's a very difficult draw, but the goal is to get through this group stage. We know Manchester United very well. We will of course try to repeat the result obtained two seasons ago at Old Trafford and do better at Parc des Princes.

"I don't know much about Istanbul Basaksehir at the moment, but playing international matches in Turkey is always a big challenge."

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are "extraordinary" players but Paris Saint-Germain have to be more clinical in front of goal, according to new team-mate Alessandro Florenzi.

PSG carved out a routine 2-0 victory over Reims in their most recent Ligue 1 outing through a couple of Mauro Icardi goals to make it three wins in a row without conceding.

However, head coach Thomas Tuchel criticised his players after the match for failing to convert more of their chances at the Stade Auguste-Delaune.

Florenzi played the full 90 minutes in Sunday's win over Reims and agrees with Tuchel's assessment that PSG have to be more efficient in the opposition box.

"We had plenty of chances against Reims and it could have been 4-0 or 5-0 at half-time," he said at a news conference ahead of Friday's home clash with Angers.

"We could have put the game to bed straight away and we certainly need to be more clinical up front.

"At the same time, we have to continue on the same path because if you get four or five chances in the first half an hour it means you are playing well."

Tuchel started with Neymar, Mbappe, Icardi, Julian Draxler and Angel Di Maria in an attacking line-up against Reims but the latter is now serving a four-game suspension for spitting.

Florenzi has talked up the attacking talents available to PSG and insists his side have enough quality to cope with the loss of Di Maria.

"Neymar and Kylian are extraordinary players, two of the best in the world," he said. "We also have other great players like Di Maria and Marquinhos at the back.

"It is easy to play with Angel because of his quality and the way we link up but there other players who can also contribute to the team, like Draxler and Ander Herrera

"So we have many players. Their attributes might be difficult or different to Angel's, but they will be the right level to come in."

Right-back Florenzi was signed from Roma on an initial season-long loan deal last month with the option to buy and has started three of PSG's five matches this season.

That includes last month's Classique with Marseille in a fiery game that saw five players sent off after an injury-time brawl.

Reflecting on his action-packed first outing for PSG, Florenzi said: "Given the way things went, it certainly wasn't a good example to set for French football.

"But having said that, there have also been unpleasant situations in Spain and Italy as well. What we have to do is get people talking about what we do on the pitch.

"We want to be an example to children and offer a different image of ourselves. That is what we will be looking to do going forward."

Manchester United's problems in the transfer window have reportedly continued as they target Federico Chiesa and Alex Telles.

The Premier League giants have had a tough window so far, with only Donny van de Beek arriving from Ajax.

That is their only inclusion despite links to the likes of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and Telles, and their progress is still seemingly slow ahead of the window closing on Monday.

TOP STORY – MAN UTD'S CHIESA BID REJECTED, SNUBBED OVER TELLES

Manchester United had a loan enquiry for Fiorentina attacker Chiesa turned down, according to The Telegraph.

As they struggle to land a deal for Sancho, United have been linked with Chiesa and Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

Chiesa, a 22-year-old Italy international, has made a fine start to this season, scoring once and providing an assist in two Serie A games.

United seemed closer to bringing in Telles, but O Jogo reports Porto did not even respond to their first bid for the left-back – believed to be around £11.8million (€13m) – as the Portuguese giants see it as unrealistic.

ROUND-UP

- After Luis Suarez's arrival at Atletico Madrid, Diego Costa is linked with a move away. AS reports Paris Saint-Germain are considering a move for the forward, and it adds Atletico could look to replace him with free agent Edinson Cavani.

- Manchester City's transfer business in this window could be done. The Sun reports any plans for the Premier League side to bring in a left-back – either Bayern Munich's David Alaba or Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico – are reliant on a late bid being received for Oleksandr Zinchenko.

- Are Bayern Munich looking for a back-up for star Robert Lewandowski? Sport Bild reports the Bundesliga champions want to sign Hoffenheim forward Andrej Kramaric. The Croatia international scored twice against Bayern in the Bundesliga on Saturday and is up to seven goals in three games in 2020-21.

- Tottenham are reportedly looking at Benfica striker Carlos Vinicius. Football.London says Spurs are hoping to loan the striker with an option to buy for £36.3m (€40m). Carlos Vinicius scored 24 goals in 47 games in all competitions last season.

- Staying at Spurs and Sky Sports reports Celtic have made an approach for Tottenham left-back Ryan Sessegnon. However, it says finances are problematic, while multiple Premier League clubs are also keeping an eye on Sessegnon.

- Andreas Pereira is set to leave Manchester United. Fabrizio Romano reports a deal between United and Lazio has been signed for a loan with option to buy for €27m (£24.5m).

Neymar and Alvaro will not be punished for alleged racist comments made during the Ligue 1 match between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.

The pair clashed during an ill-tempered Classique on September 13, with Neymar ultimately seeing red late on, along with four other players, after an on-pitch fracas.

As he was storming off the pitch, Neymar, who had hit the Marseille centre-back on the head, appeared to suggest he had been racially abused by Alvaro.

Marseille coach Andre Villas-Boas doubted the claims, though insisted there would be repercussions if any abuse had occurred.

Subsequently, it has also been reported – by Spanish outlet Cadena SER – that Neymar racially abused Hiroki Sakai.

However, after an investigation into the incident, the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has cleared both Neymar and Alvaro, due to insufficient evidence.

An LFP statement read: "After examining the case, hearing the players and representatives of the clubs, the commission notes that it does not have sufficient convincing evidence to allow it to establish the materiality of the facts of statements of a discriminatory nature by Alvaro against Neymar during the meeting, nor against Neymar towards Alvaro."

Neymar served a two-match suspension for his red card, while Angel Di Maria is currently serving a four-match ban for spitting at Alvaro.

Neymar is recovering from a calf injury and will be reassessed on Thursday, while Paris Saint-Germain announced Juan Bernat underwent knee surgery.

PSG star Neymar sustained a calf injury during Sunday's 2-0 win over Reims in Ligue 1 as Thomas Tuchel's side claimed their third consecutive victory to sit seventh in the table after five matches.

French champions PSG provided an update on Neymar ahead of Friday's fixture against Angers in the capital.

"After feeling some tightness in his calf during Sunday's match, he has received reassuring test results," PSG said on Tuesday.

"His condition will be reviewed again in the next 48 hours."

Neymar has only made two appearances in 2020-21, and the Brazilian forward is yet to score for last season's Champions League runners-up.

PSG full-back Bernat, meanwhile, had an operation to repair his ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Bernat suffered an ACL injury in the 1-0 win over Metz earlier this month, and the ex-Bayern Munich defender is set to miss the majority of the season.

PSG confirmed Bernat's surgery at Pitie Salpetriere Hospital was a success.

Will he or won't he?

That's the question regarding Jadon Sancho and a possible move to Manchester United.

United, however, are reportedly bullish about their chances of prising the England international from Borussia Dortmund.

TOP STORY – SOLSKJAER CONFIDENT IN SANCHO PURSUIT

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho he expects the blockbuster transfer to be completed, according to Dagbladet.

United have so far been unable to prise Sancho from Dortmund, who refuse to budge on their £108million (€120m) asking price, with the transfer window set to close on October 5.

However, Solskjaer appears confident of landing his number one target.

ROUND-UP

- Barcelona could announce the signing of Ajax full-back Sergino Dest on Tuesday, reports Fabrizio Romano. Bayern Munich are also trying to prise the United States international from Amsterdam.

- The Telegraph says Tottenham are eyeing Bournemouth forward Josh King, who was previously linked to United.

United are closing in on Porto full-back Alex Telles. Romano claims personal terms have been agreed, with final details and agents commission remaining as United and Porto negotiate a fee.

- The Guardian reports Tottenham have not given up on signing Inter centre-back Milan Skriniar. Inter are holding out for £55m (€60m) but Spurs are only prepared to pay between €30m-€35m. Napoli's Nikola Maksimovic could reportedly replace Skriniar in Milan.

- According to L'Equipe, Leeds United are nearing a deal to sign Bayern midfielder Michael Cuisance. Leeds have been unable to meet Udinese's demands for star Rodrigo De Paul.

Marcelo Brozovic has realised Inter want to sell him as the Croatia international eyes an exit, reports Calciomercato. It comes as Inter chase Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, who has since been linked to United.

- Romano says Milan are confident of completing a deal for Bodo/Glimt star Jens Petter Hauge, who impressed during the Europa League qualifier at San Siro.

Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli believes star defender Kalidou Koulibaly will remain at the Serie A club, despite links to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Koulibaly had been strongly linked with Premier League giants City but Pep Guardiola's side agreed a deal to sign Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias on Sunday.

Ligue 1 champions PSG are also reportedly interested following Thiago Silva's departure, while the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool have been linked previously.

Asked about Koulibaly prior to Sunday's 6-0 demolition of Genoa, Giuntoli told Sky Sport Italia: "The team was completed in January with Stanislav Lobotka and Diego Demme, who can play in a few different roles. With Amir Rrahmani, [Victor] Osimhen and [Andrea] Petagna, we are complete, so will now try to release players who won't have much time on the pitch.

"I think Koulibaly is staying, we are very happy and so is he. I believe that he is staying."

Koulibaly helped keep a clean sheet as high-flying Napoli preserved their perfect start to the season against Genoa.

Napoli are yet to concede in two Serie A fixtures this season, while scoring eight goals to top the standings.

Gennaro Gattuso was also quizzed on Koulibaly following Giuntoli's comments and the Napoli head coach told Sky Sport Italia post-match: "I hope he remains with us, selfishly speaking, because he gives us so much both in technical terms and as a character.

"The world has changed because of the pandemic and I realise all clubs need to balance the books. I hope the call won't arrive, but I'll be nervous about it until transfer deadline day."

Senegal international Koulibaly has called Napoli home since arriving from Genk in 2014.

The 29-year-old was instrumental as Napoli claimed the Coppa Italia title last season – the club's first piece of silverware since 2014.
