Off-spinner Akim Fraser took four wickets on debut as the Jamaica Scorpions were locked in a tense battle at for first-innings honours at stumps on day one of their match against the Guyana Jaguars at Sabina Park.

West Indies Championship title holders, the Guyana Jaguars just need 145 runs to claim their first win in their last three games this season after a poor second innings from the Jamaica Scorpions at the Providence Stadium left the door open for them. 

A 101-run fourth-wicket stand between Captain Leon Johnson and Vishual Singh have left the match between the Jamaica Scorpions and Guyana Jaguars interestingly poised at stumps on Day 2 of their West Indies Championship match at the Providence Stadium on Friday.

Defending champions of the West Indies Championship, the Guyana Jaguars must have thought they were in for an easy day, but a lower-order stand from the Jamaica Scorpions of 90 have meant they were made to wait. 

There was just one wicket in it when the Jamaica Scorpions got over the line in their West Indies Championship game against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes at Warner Park in St Kitts. 

The Jamaica Scorpions are 65 runs away from their second win on the trot in their West Indies Championship match against the Leeward Islands Hurricanes being played at Warner Park in St Kitts. 

The winless Jamaica Scorpions have made three changes to their squad that departed the island on Monday for Grenada where they play the Windward Island Volcanoes starting January 17 in the next round of the West Indies Championships.
