The forward seemingly has options.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side will go head-to-head with their London rivals in the FA Cup final on Saturday, with the winner to take on the Premier League's champions.

With the 2020-21 top-flight campaign set to start on September 12, the FA has now announced its date for English football's traditional curtain-raiser.

Liverpool, who lost the Community Shield on penalties to Manchester City last season, had their first Premier League title wrapped up when Chelsea defeated Pep Guardiola's side on June 25.

Jadon Sancho has long been linked with a move to Manchester United.

The former Manchester City youngster is reportedly ready to return to his native England after starring in the Bundesliga for Borussia Dortmund.

With United's Champions League status confirmed, the Red Devils are ready to strike a deal.

TOP STORY – UNITED STEPPING UP SANCHO PURSUIT

Manchester United are prioritising the signing of Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho as they cool on Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, according to Sky Sports.

United are determined to bring Sancho to Old Trafford after securing Champions League qualification, though both clubs are yet to come to agreement on a transfer fee – Dortmund are reportedly holding out for €120m (£109m).

England international Sancho has previously been linked to Real Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea.

It now looks unlikely that United will pursue Villa star Grealish, who is valued in excess of £80m by the Premier League side, with doubts over where he would fit into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Willian's contract expires at the end of the season and the Brazil international has been unable to reach an agreement over an extension.

Arsenal are among the sides rumoured to be interested, with the player said to be keen to stay in London.

There has been speculation Willian has changed his mind about holding out for a three-year deal and would now be prepared to sign a two-year extension at Stamford Bridge.

However, Kia Joorabchian says there has been no such change in his thinking and two clubs from England, two from elsewhere in Europe and one from MLS want to sign the 31-year-old,

"I don't think he's done a U-turn or any kind of turn," Joorabchian told talkSPORT. "He's always been very much [in] the same mode.

"We had two very big offers – one from MLS, which required him to move on July 1 – but he's always been in the same mode, saying, 'I want to finish the season at Chelsea and the day after the season has finished I will make my decision'.

"He has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs on the table, he has an MLS offer on the table, which is very big, and he's got two other offers in Europe.

"So, Willian is in a very good position and he is going to make his decision after the last game of the season."

Chelsea face Arsenal in the FA Cup final on August 1, with their final game of 2019-20 likely to be the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Bayern Munich, unless they can overturn a 3-0 deficit at the Allianz Arena.

Philippe Coutinho, who is on loan at Bayern from Barcelona, is another of Joorabchian's clients whose future is uncertain, although it appears a move back to England could be on the cards.

"After the Champions League, it's not been a secret that he wants to come back to the Premier League if he can; he loves playing in the Premier League and is adored in the Premier League," he said.

"It is one of his priorities… but he is also not against staying at Barcelona, so it is very much open.

"There is much genuine interest in Philippe because he is a great player and a big success. There is always interest."

- Bayern Munich could be set to make a surprise signing. Sky Sport Austria reports the Bundesliga champions are interested in Norwich City right-back Max Aarons.

- Wilfried Zaha looks likely to be at the centre of transfer speculation once again. The Mirror reports Crystal Palace are set to listen to offers for the attacker, with Everton said to be interested.

Borussia Dortmund are reportedly ready to let Jadon Sancho leave this close season, while Barcelona are eager to re-sign Ansu Fati.

Sancho, 20, has continually been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga club amid reported interest from several European giants.

And Dortmund may be prepared to let the attacker go.

TOP STORY – DORTMUND WILLING TO SELL SANCHO

Borussia Dortmund are prepared to sell Sancho to Manchester United for the right price, according to The Independent.

However, the report says United's qualification for the Champions League remains a huge factor.

Ahead of a trip to Leicester City on Sunday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are third in the table, a point clear of their fifth-placed hosts.

Bayern Munich recruit Leroy Sane appeared to suggest Kai Havertz's reported move from Bayer Leverkusen to Chelsea was a done deal.

Havertz, 21, is expected to leave the Bundesliga club this close season after an impressive campaign.

Chelsea are reportedly the frontrunners to land the Germany international, with Frank Lampard's side having already added Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech ahead of next season.

Sane, who has arrived at Bayern from Manchester City, suggested a deal could already be done as he discussed two of his Germany team-mates.

"I think Germany always have very good young players, there's no question about that. I don't know why [clubs] are looking for our younger players at this moment," he told a news conference.

"I think the Bundesliga is always attractive, you can see young players getting their chances and developing very well in the Bundesliga. It doesn't matter at which club.

"Of course, in [signing] Timo Werner and Kai Havertz – two players within a single year – Chelsea did a good job. There is no question that Germany has very good youth programme.

"I think the whole world of football knows that and of course it's also appealing to other teams in the world to get such players."

Sane was long linked with a move to Bayern before the deal was confirmed earlier this month.

The 24-year-old said he wanted to win the Champions League with the Bundesliga giants, praising Hansi Flick's work at the helm.

"It is generally difficult to answer the question of who wins the UEFA Champions League. Of course, Bayern Munich has done it a few times already," Sane said.

"I was looking for something new, some fresh impetus, and for me it was clear that if I'm going to make a change, it has to be to a club that is able to win the Champions League and Bayern Munich can do this 100 per cent.

"It's a good question if we can win the Champions League in the next few years. It's not easy, but Bayern Munich is a club which definitely can win the Champions League.

"As you could see last season, the team is at the top level and I think Hansi had his impact on the team. You can see it on the pitch that everyone is having fun together with Hansi. Because of that, this was the right step and the right move for me."

Shkodran Mustafi is an injury doubt for the FA Cup final, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has confirmed.

Arsenal progressed to the final with a 2-0 victory over holders Manchester City at Wembley last weekend, although they lost defender Mustafi to a hamstring injury late on.

The Germany international missed Tuesday's defeat to Aston Villa and will also be unavailable for Arsenal's final Premier League game of the season against Watford on Sunday.

And Arteta has conceded he is set to be without the 28-year-old centre-back for the clash with Chelsea on August 1.

"Musti is injured, we need to assess a little bit how long he's going to be out," he told a news conference.

"I doubt [he will be fit for the cup final], we have to see how he evolves in the next few days. At the moment I doubt it."

Mustafi's days at Arsenal appeared to be numbered earlier in the season, but the former Valencia man has enjoyed a resurgence under Arteta.

Arteta also stated both Matteo Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil were available for selection, even though the duo's exclusion from first-team affairs is widely expected to continue.

Olivier Giroud has set his sights on overtaking Michel Platini as France's second-highest goalscorer as the Chelsea forward aims to win 100 caps for Les Bleus.

Giroud – who reached the Euro 2016 final with France before winning the 2018 World Cup – has scored 39 international goals in 97 appearances.

The 33-year-old has been a stalwart of Didier Deschamps' squad and needs just three more goals to overtake Platini and move second in the all-time list, behind Thierry Henry, who netted 51 times between 1997 and 2010.

Now, Giroud has set his sights on becoming only the eighth centurion in France's history, as well as matching Platini's goal haul.

"I had the chance to make a Euro final and win the World Cup," he said in an interview with Canal+.

"I'm still thirsty for trophies and to break records in the French team. It would be good to pass 100 caps, and then try to get past Platini in second place in the team's top scorers rankings.

"These are goals and the Euro next year is of course a goal."

Giroud scored six goals as France successfully qualified for Euro 2020, only for the tournament to be pushed back a year due to coronavirus.

Sergio Ramos has been the face of Real Madrid, especially since Cristiano Ronaldo's departure in 2018.

Ramos highlighted his importance as Madrid dethroned Barcelona in LaLiga this season.

As the 34-year-old's current deal winds down, talks are reportedly underway to prolong his stay.

TOP STORY – RAMOS REVEALS RENEWAL PLANS

Real Madrid captain Ramos wants €17million to renew his contract with the LaLiga champions, according to Diario Sport.

Ramos is out of contract in 2021 and there have been question marks as to whether the Spain skipper will sign a new deal at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The defender has called Madrid home since arriving from Sevilla in 2005.

ROUND-UP

- The front page of Thursday's Diario Sport claims Barcelona are determined to sign Manchester City defender Eric Garcia. The 19-year-old left Barca for City in 2017. It comes as Premier League outfit City push for a swap deal involving full-back Joao Cancelo and Barca's Nelson Semedo.

- Could Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic reunite with former Eintracht Frankfurt team-mate Ante Rebic at Milan? According to reports, Fali Ramadani – agent to both Jovic and Rebic – met with Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara on Wednesday. Jovic has struggled since leaving Eintracht for Madrid at the start of the season, with the Serbia international linked to Milan, Napoli, Leicester City and Chelsea among others. Rebic, meanwhile, is on a two-season loan from Eintracht.

Manchester United are interested in signing Adrien Rabiot from Juventus, claims Calciomercato. Fellow Premier League teams Everton and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested.

- Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia report Victor Osimhen is set to be presented as a Napoli player on Friday. The Lille forward had previously been the subject of reported interest from the likes of Liverpool and United. Sky journalist Fabrizio Romano also says talks are ongoing for Napoli to sign Jeremie Boga from Sassuolo.

- According to RAC1 journalist Gerard Romero, Barca are eyeing Villarreal defender Pau Torres. The 23-year-old – also linked to City – reportedly has a €50m release clause.

City have offered Yangel Herrera to Valencia in an attempt to lure winger Ferran Torres to Manchester, says Gols Media. City are looking to replace Leroy Sane following his Bayern Munich switch.

Milan have contacted the agent of Brescia star Sandro Tonali, claims Sportmediaset. While Inter remain the frontrunners, their city rivals are not giving up on the Italy midfielder.

- Mundo Deportivo says Chelsea are dreaming of signing Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen amid doubts over current number one Kepa Arrizabalaga. Chelsea have also been linked to Atletico Madrid star Jan Oblak.

The 2019-20 FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea will kick off at 17:30 BST on Saturday, August 1, the Football Association has confirmed.

The London rivals will face off at Wembley in the concluding fixture of the elongated English domestic campaign, six days after the Premier League season finishes.

Arsenal, the competition's most successful side with 13 past triumphs, booked their place in next month's showpiece with a 2-0 victory over holders Manchester City last Saturday.

Chelsea, who won the most recent of their eight titles in 2018, saw off Manchester United 3-1 the following day.

The FA also announced on Wednesday that Anthony Taylor will referee the final for a second time, having previously officiated Arsenal's 2-1 win over Chelsea in the 2017 final.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is still waiting for Barcelona, while Manchester City could be set to sign an attacker.

Aubameyang's future at Arsenal is uncertain, with the star forward out of contract next year.

And the Gabon international seems to be biding his time.

TOP STORY – AUBAMEYANG WAITS FOR BARCELONA OFFER

Aubameyang is prepared to wait for an offer from Barcelona amid their apparent interest in Arsenal's top scorer, according to Sky Sport and Sport.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports the 31-year-old is considered an alternative if Barca cannot land Inter star Lautaro Martinez.

Aubameyang has scored 25 goals in 42 games for Arsenal this season.

ROUND-UP

- Valencia attacker Ferran Torres looks like he has decided on his next move. Sport Bild reports the 20-year-old has agreed to join Manchester City over Borussia Dortmund. The report says the Bundesliga club considered Torres as a potential replacement for Jadon Sancho, who is linked with a move away.

- Following some less-than-convincing performances from Kepa Arrizabalaga, Chelsea are apparently eyeing a goalkeeper this close season. The Manchester Evening News reports Chelsea are prepared to more than double Dean Henderson's Manchester United wages, with the shot-stopper having impressed on loan at Sheffield United this season. The Daily Mail says Henderson is set for talks with Manchester United next week.

- Atalanta star Duvan Zapata could be set for a move. CalcioMercato reports Juventus are interested in the striker, who it says was the subject of a €50million offer from a foreign club.

- Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly interested in Sevilla defender Diego Carlos. Goal reports the LaLiga club have received two offers from England for the 27-year-old, although from which clubs remains unknown.

- Loris Karius seems set to make a permanent exit from Liverpool. Goal says the Premier League champions want €6.6m (£6m) for the goalkeeper amid interest from Marseille.

- Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is on track for a move from Southampton. The Telegraph reports Everton's bid of around £25m for the midfielder has been accepted, but Tottenham have also submitted an offer.

Bayern Munich will prepare for the latter stages of the Champions League by hosting Marseille in a friendly on July 31.

Bayern are aiming to complete a stunning treble following their post-shutdown romp to the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles.

The German champions are well placed to reach the final eight-team mini-tournament in Lisbon as they lead Chelsea 3-0 heading into the home leg of their last-16 tie.

But Bayern have not played since the Pokal final against Bayer Leverkusen on July 4 and so have organised an exhibition match against Marseille at the FC Bayern Campus. They then face Chelsea on August 8.

Head coach Hansi Flick said: "The 'Audi Football Summit' against Olympique Marseille comes at an optimal time in our preparations for the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Chelsea.

"The team and our coaching staff will be working with great focus and high quality to make sure we pick up where we left off with our performances in the Bundesliga and the DFB-Pokal final in this game."

Marseille are preparing for the 2020-21 Ligue 1 season after the previous campaign was curtailed due to coronavirus.

Frank Lampard refused to rule out more attacking signings for Chelsea in the transfer window as the Premier League club reportedly edge closer to acquiring Kai Havertz.

The Blues will be bolstered by the arrivals of forwards Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner for the 2020-21 campaign, but their business is unlikely to end there and reports suggest Germany international Havertz wants a Stamford Bridge switch too.

Bayer Leverkusen are believed to be holding out for around £90million for the 21-year-old, who scored 12 times and provided six assists in 30 Bundesliga appearances in 2019-20.

"I'm not talking about Kai Havertz," Lampard told a news conference ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash with Liverpool on Wednesday, when a win would seal a top-four spot for Chelsea.

"I've said before he's a player of another team. I'm looking at a game tomorrow that is so huge for this club, the last thing I want to do is talk about players from other teams."

The former England international hinted that he would be open to more attacking arrivals beyond Ziyech and Werner, though.

Both Willian and Pedro are out of contract at the end of this campaign, while youngsters Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi have struggled for form and fitness of late.

"The idea of the two players that we've brought in are they are attacking talents and you bring in players like that to try and improve what you have at your disposal," Lampard said of Ziyech and Werner.

"We know players may be moving on naturally at the end of contracts. We know it's something that in certain games, where we've had a lot of possession of the ball... chances created to a high level, we maybe haven't quite done that.

"I think those two signings are hopefully going to add to us in that case.

"After that, what comes in the summer, comes after the next few huge games for us."
