By July 19, 2019

Briana Williams followed up her NACAC U18 title with the Pan Am U20 title in Costa Rica on Friday night.

Running with her left hamstring taped, Williams took an early lead but had to fight hard to hold off a rapidly closing pair of American runners who copped the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

Williams’ winning time was 11.38, just 0.01s ahead of Thelma Davis (11.39) while Brandy Pressley took the bronze in 11.41.
