Bolt 'wins' in zero gravity

Bolt floating around in space. Bolt floating around in space.

During his more than a decade-long career that yielded 19 major gold medals, Usain Bolt wowed the world with astonishing performances including seemingly unbreakable world records of 9.58s and 19.19s in the 100m and 200m respectively.

On Wednesday, Bolt performed another ‘astonishing’ feat that blew even his mind.

Now retired from track, Bolt showed he still had some fumes left in the tank when he sprinted through thin air as he enjoyed near zero-gravity conditions in an aircraft and ran a short ‘sprint’, which, by the way, he won.

The eight-time Olympic gold medallist was floating around in a special plane called the Airbus Zero-G normally used for scientific research. He described the experience as‘mindblowing’.

Since his retirement, the 32-year-old Bolt has been pursuing his passion of playing professional football and has been honing his skills with the Central Coast Mariners in Australia’s A League.
