Jamaican USC senior Travis Williams was among his school’s silver medal-winning quartet on Friday’s third day of the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Championships at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Running out of lane nine, USC produced 38.46, the second fastest time in the school’s history, to take silver.
Max Thomas, Taylor Banks and Garrett Kaalund made up the team alongside Williams.
The Auburn Tigers defended their title with a 38.33 performance while Arkansas took bronze in 38.72.
Elsewhere, Jamaican Arkansas senior Rivaldo Marshall ran 1:46.71 for bronze in the men’s 800m behind Texas A&M senior Sam Whitmarsh (1:45.86) and Oregon senior Matthew Erickson (1:46.32).
