Talented Jamaican sprinter Tia Clayton has been withdrawn from Jamaica’s team for the NACAC Senior Track and Field Championships set for August 15-17 in Freeport, Bahamas.
The exact reason for her withdrawal is unclear but a reliable source has confirmed her removal from the team.
The 2024 Jamaican National 100m champion and Olympic finalist was set to compete in the 100m, alongside Jodean Williams, as well as in the 4x100m.
Clayton showed sensational form this season leading up to the final of the Women’s 100m at the National Championships on June 27 where she pulled up injured.
