Guyana's Mark Vieira, Jeffrey dominate at CMRC
Mark Vieira driving an RX8 swept the all-wheel class at the Caribbean Motor Racing Championships in Guyana on Sunday. Before an estimated 20,000 fans at the South Dakota Racing Circuit, Vieira pulled off two wins and second place finish to get the better of Mark Maloney of Barbados who only managed to get onto the podium once.
Kristian Jeffrey dominated the four-wheel drive class with his Mitsubishi Evolution following an on-track mishap that removed Roger Mayers and his Ford Focus from the equation. Jeffrey would win two of the three races in the class with the other going to Rupie Shewjattan.
Meanwhile, Vishok Persaud and his Lotus ran unbeaten throughout the day.
