The Los Angeles Clippers, Utah Jazz and Miami Heat, on Monday, agreed to a trade that will send Norman Powell to Miami, John Collins to Los Angeles, and Kevin Love, Kyle Anderson and a 2027 Clippers second-round pick to Utah, according to ESPN.

The 32-year-old Powell, who has committed to representing the Jamaican National Team internationally, averaged a career-high 21.8 points in 60 games for the Clippers last season and made 42% of his 3-point attempts.

The Heat will be the fourth NBA team for the San Diego, California-born Powell. He was a second-round draft pick out of UCLA by the Toronto Raptors in 2015 where he played until 2021, being a crucial part of the franchise’s only NBA Championship in 2019.

He was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers in March 2021 before being moved to the Clippers in February 2022.

Powell gives the Heat another dynamic scoring option at guard, whether that is in the starting line-up or off the bench.

In Collins, 27, the Clippers acquired an athletic big man who averaged 19 points and six rebounds in 40 games for the Jazz last season.

Love, 36,  is a five-time All-Star and averaged 5.3 points and 4.1 rebounds in 23 games for the Heat last season. The 2016 NBA Champion could be seen as either a veteran to mentor a very young Jazz roster or a buyout option for a contending team down the line.

The same can be said about Anderson, 31, who was acquired by Miami in a trade with the Golden State Warriors last season.
