Christopher Taylor has decisions to make about his future in track and field but before that, he has one more season to show what he has at a Boys’ and Girls’ Athletics Championships.

The Calabar and Jamaica athlete reigned supreme for yet another year, albeit with a lighter workload than most seasons, winning the Class One 200 metres, the 4x100 metres, and before his team was disqualified, the 4x400-metre relays.

Just after crossing the tape in the 4x100 metres, having run the third fastest split in high school history in Jamaica, Taylor was asked what’s next.

“I haven’t decided if I will go to college or go professional yet,” said Taylor.

According to the ace 400/200 man, he is in no rush to make that decision either, since he still has another year in school.

“I’m not rushing my school years,” he said.

Just as important as high school, though, is the ‘Champs’ atmosphere, he is not willing to leave behind just yet.

“I love this atmosphere, so why would I rush to leave school and I know we can go out there and win our eighth title,” said Taylor.

Taylor was speaking after Calabar had secured their seventh-straight Mortimer Geddes Trophy, tallying 368.50 points, to beat their nearest rivals Kingston College (KC) by nearly 100 points.

KC scored 278 points in the affair, getting the better of Jamaica College, who tallied 224.50.

St Jago (146), St Elizabeth Technical (95) and Wolmer's Boys’ (94.5), rounded out the top six teams.
