Who are we?
SportsMax is the Caribbean’s first and only 24hr. sports dedicated cable channel. SportsMax began broadcasting on cable in Jamaica in 2002 and launched its service via satellite in October 2005.
The Channel is currently transmitted regionally to over 23 territories in the Caribbean. SportsMax’s strategy is to focus on content that the regional market desires, marrying regional sports content with the most popular international content available.
SportsMax, through it’s parent company International Media Content (IMC), owns broadcast rights for some of the most prestigious competitions worldwide, namely the Euro 2008 Qualifiers, the Barclays Premier League and FA Cup, West Indies away Tours, South American World Cup Qualifiers, the Indian Premier League Twenty20, and cricket series from India, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and England, and West Indies away tours.
SportsMax also owns rights to the Reggae Boyz home football matches, as well as the IAAF Grand Prix Series.
SportsMax also airs weekly magazine programmes, such as World of Sports and World of Athletics.
SportsMax is dedicated to broadcasting the most sought after sporting content available worldwide. SportsMax is offered as a subscription package through cable operators in each island. SportsMax is twinned with Fox Soccer Channel and is available as a package through the local cable operators in Jamaica.
